Thales and Hexagon enter five-year tech partnership for EMEA

The agreement simplifies procurement and speeds access to measurement and automated quality inspection technologies.

Thales and Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division have signed a five-year framework agreement to support Thales’ operational processes and quality assurance activities across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.

The agreement names Hexagon as the supplier of metrology equipment, software, services, and maintenance for all Thales divisions and countries in the EMEA region. The partnership is intended to streamline procurement and provide standardized access to measurement and quality assurance technologies, supporting production and consistency in quality assurance across Thales teams in the region.

The agreement was signed during the Paris Air Show 2025 by Didier Perrigault, global expenses procurement director at Thales, and Stephen Chadwick, president EMEA at Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division, formalizing the ongoing collaboration between the two companies.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to:

  • Driving global quality: Standardization and the harmonization of measurement processes across Thales’ EMEA operations
  • Accelerating procurement and deployment: Introducing advanced metrology technologies such as laser, LiDAR and touch measurement systems and intelligent automation to enhance throughput and agility amid growing production demands
  • Strengthening collaboration: Enabling teams and sites to improve consistency, traceability and to scale quality assurance with democratized technologies that bring people and processes together and make quality repeatable

Following successful collaboration on programs in France and Italy, this agreement between Hexagon and Thales aims to expand cooperation to support Thales’ industrial development and scaling efforts.
