ESTECO launches new MBSE plug-in to VOLTA

The plug-in helps aerospace and defense teams trace requirements, analysis, and simulation results within the SysML environment.

ESTECO has released a new MBSE plug-in that connects Dassault Systèmes’ Cameo Systems Modeler with the VOLTA digital engineering platform for simulation process and data management (SPDM) and multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO). The integration enables MBSE teams to link system architecture models with simulation process workflows for MDO studies and establish a digital thread between MBSE and simulation within an SPDM framework.

Responding to increased customer demand in the aerospace and defense sectors, the MBSE plug-in to VOLTA enables organizations to enhance traceability between requirements, analysis parameters, and simulation results, all within the SysML environment.

Key features include:

  • Direct integration with VOLTA repositories for retrieving, mapping, and linking analysis projects and parameters.
  • Bi-directional traceability between Cameo system models and VOLTA-managed simulation results.
  • Support for API-based authentication and project metadata search within the plug-in interface.

The plug-in improves verification and validation activities earlier in the system development process, helping teams minimize rework, shorten design cycles, and meet industry regulations.

This launch reinforces ESTECO’s commitment to supporting open, flexible toolchains for digital engineering and advancing the state of MBSE across industries.
